Milkmaids for Digital Marketing

Three legs is ‘just the right amount’

A tenuous link, but a link none-the-less, let me explain… As any self respecting milk[person]maid will tell you (if she were Swedish) that three is the lagom amount of legs for a stool. Any more is a waste; three works just well enough. Any less, and eventually you will get tired of balancing and fall under the cow…

So, what’s the link to digital marketing? Well, we use the three legged stool analogy to explain our approach to digital marketing at flocc. Each leg is an aspect of marketing that must work with the others to ensure your business is consistent and benefits growth:

  • Brand — the very essence of your business. The thoughts and feelings that your customer experiences with you in their minds
  • Marketing materials — The physical elements that work together to demonstrate your brand visually, from leaflets and business cards to websites and social media.
  • Paid Advertising — PPC and social media promotional campaigns to advertise your marketing materials and brand to a targeted audience segment.

Therefore, when a new client asks us for assistance with their digital marketing campaigns, we approach things holistically, working out how each of the three elements of your marketing will work equally together to ensure your business makes the biggest and most sustainable gains.

Agencies often get bad press from specialist competitors in this sector, claiming that they can be too generalist and not customer focused. Sure, as an agency who specialises in Digital Marketing, we can take that; it is a market place after all, but we would argue that its our breadth and depth of knowledge and skills that make the real difference to this holistic approach.

So when considering your next move with your marketing, grab your three legged stool and sit and think about how you can get the most out of what you have in front of you. It has after all worked for milkmaids for hundreds of years.
